Reading Time: < 1 minute

A classic summer favorite from my dad’s recipe box, this creamy cucumber salad is the perfect refreshing side dish!

**Ingredients:**
– 2 large cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
– 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
– 1 tablespoon sea salt

**For the Dressing:**
– 1 ½ cups mayonnaise (or more to taste)
– 2 tablespoons vinegar
– 1 tablespoon white sugar
– 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

**Directions:**
1. Mix cucumbers, onion, and salt in a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 15 to 30 minutes.
2. Drain the cucumber mixture in a colander set over a bowl or in the sink, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has drained, about 15 to 30 minutes.
3. Transfer the drained cucumbers and onions to a large bowl.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, dill, garlic powder, and pepper until smooth.
5. Pour the dressing over the cucumber mixture and stir until well coated.
6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours before serving.

Enjoy this creamy, tangy salad as a perfect side dish for your summer meals! 🌞
