Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 Β½ lbs or 680g)
- ΒΌ cup soy sauce (60 mL)
- Β½ cup packed brown sugar (100 g)
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar (30 mL)
- ΒΌ cup water (60 mL)
- 1 tablespoon butter (14 g)
- 10 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven:
- Preheat the oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C). Ensure your skillet is oven-safe.
2. Prepare Glaze:
- In an oven-safe skillet over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, water, butter, garlic, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently, until the glaze thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
3. Reserve Glaze:
- Remove the pan from heat. Set aside 2-3 tablespoons of glaze in a small bowl for brushing later.
4. Season & Coat Chops:
- Season pork chops lightly with salt and pepper. Place them into the skillet and turn to coat evenly in the glaze.
5. Bake:
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145Β°F (63Β°C) with an instant-read thermometer.
